This half-pi shawl is worked from the center top down. Wide sections of garter stitch are separated by bands of lace. A delicate picot bind off finishes the bottom edge.

The the pattern is written for a fingering weight and a lace weight version. The gauge given above is for the fingering weight. The lace weight gauge is 16 sts and 32 rows = 4” in garter st.
