This scarf is light enough for summer, but pretty enough for formal occasions all year round. I converted a Victorian stitch pattern to modern notation and added a British Moss Stitch border. This pattern is one size, but can be increased in length by working additional repeats of the stitch pattern. Gauge is not important and really any weight yarn could be used, but this would alter the overall size of the scarf and also the look. Because the scarf needs blocking after knitting a yarn with a high natural fibre content should be used. I used two 50 gram skeins of yarn for this, but did have a small amount left over. Obviously, if you increase the length of the scarf then you will need more yarn.
