Victorian Rose Scarf is a quick scarf project that can be knit in any type of yarn. It would look wonderful in a cotton or lace weight as well. The lacey pattern gives the scarf a terrific drape and makes it terrific to use as an accessory item in the warmer seasons.

Directions are given for 2 portions of the scarf and then sewn together. However, if you are more advanced and wish to a provisional cast on may be use to achieve the same look without the seam. The scarf may be knit short for a cowl appearance or long for a regular scarf look depending on your preference and yarn.

The instructions are for the odd rows only on the even rows knit or purl as they appear. The yarn overs will be purled.

The pattern uses the knitwise slip - for help with this please see the following -http://cache.lionbrand.com/faq/81.html

The “loop” is simply the scarf being pulled through the yarn overs within the scarf. You can however, use a button or a pin if you desire.
