Weldon’s Practical Crochet calls this the “Bolsover” pattern. I don’t know why, it doesn’t look anything like a castle. It’s a pattern of simple tufts – making it warmer than the average scarf.

Materials: 880 yards of sock yarn. I used ‘Footscray’ from
yarnworkshop Crochet hook U.S. size E.

Gauge: In Bolsover pattern, 24 sts & 17 rows equals 4”
Make a foundation chain of 32.
