The cuff of this ethnographic mitten from Cesvaine begins with two rows of Latvian fringes which are followed by several pairs of knit/purl rows (garter stitch). There is a large band of overwork that separates the cuff from the upper mitten. While requiring six colors, only one or two are used at a time.
