Vineyard Shawl is a beautiful, half-circular shawl, perfect for spring and summer seasons. Knit in fingering weight yarn, in a mix of textured and lace stitch patterns, it is a lightweight and airy accessory, ideal to wear on the cooler spring and summer days. The shawl is worked top down in six sections and is finished off with picot bind off.

Size: one size; measurements after blocking: approx. 150 cm/ 59” wide, 64 cm/ 25” long measured from center top;

Gauge: 22 sts and 34 rows = 10cm/ 4” in Stockinette Stitch on 4mm/ US6 needles, measured flat after blocking; gauge is not crucial for this project but it will affect the size of your shawl and the yardage; make sure you have enough yarn to finish your project;

Yarn: El Robledal de la Santa Naturally ME 100% extra fine merino wool, 400 meters (437 yards)/ 100g (3.53 oz); 2 skeins in Contrast Color 1 and 1 skein in Contrast Color 2. The sample was knit in Ruby Cacao (CC1) and Pink Sand (CC2) colorways;
Or: approximately 800m/ 874 yards of fingering yarn in CC1 and 400 m/437 yards of fingering weight yarn in CC2;

Please note: almost one full skein of CC2 was used to knit the sample, with only few grams of yarn left. Make sure to have enough yarn. If you are running out of CC2 yarn, I would recommend knitting one less repeat of Shell Lace pattern.

Needles: 4 mm/ US6 circular needles at least 80 cm/ 32” long or needle size to obtain the gauge;

Other: tapestry needle to weave in ends, 2 stitch markers;
