This was created from a photograph of a 19th century coin purse. In the original, the light bands were beaded. It could certainly be done in a variety of sizes and this one just took me about 4 hours to complete. There’s a Weldon’s pattern that shows something very similar but in a larger size and which was called a shopping bag. Sky’s the limit, as they say.
