Vintarsia is worked in 3 colors and is knitted flat from the lower front edge to the front neck shaping using a simple Intarsia technique which is explained in a video tutorial linked in the pattern. The Sweater is then divided for the neck opening.
Shoulders are rejoined at back neck to work to the lower edge.
The sleeves are added from the top of the shoulders down towards the underarms and are worked at first flat, then with German Short Rows until the lower parts are joined and they continue to be worked in the round.
Stitches are picked up around the neck for the neck opening, and then the sides are sewed together.
