This quick and easy retro style headband is a perfect last minute gift. Knitted in a simple twisted rib stitch, the band can be widened or lengthened as needed. I used approximately 50 metres of hand spun Merino yarn, 18 wraps per inch, with a twist angle of approximately 30 degrees. There were about 100 metres in a 44 gram skein.

You can knit a sporty version of this headband by working with a thicker yarn and/or omitting the cinched finish and the vintage button.
