I use USA terminology for my pattern.

Size 1 (small):
body exc. spikes approx 2.5 inch (6-6.5 cm) with the yarn I used (YarnArt Jeans) and hook 1.9-2.0 mm
Size 2 (large):
body exc. spikes approx 3 inch (7.5 - 8 cm) with the yarn I used.

You can use any yarn (wool, acrylic, etc). If you use different yarn, the toy will be bigger or smaller and you will need more or less yarn than stated in the pattern. Also you will need a hook and eyes of another size.
