Gauge is not important with this scarf. Choose a needle size that creates a fabric that pleases you. I’ve chosen 4.0 mm (US 6) because I prefer a softer fabric with drape. I found this important when using stainless steel/silk as it can be a little rigid.

The scarf is made using 1 colour of stainless steel (Habu Textiles A-20/21 1/20) and 2 colours of fine wool merino. At times all 3 yarns are held together creating a fingering weight yarn. For a lighter weight fabric use only 1 strand of the fine wool merino as the fine merino is always used together.

Overall length as per the pattern is 265 cm. The length can be adjusted according to preference.

This scarf is in stocking stitch so the edges will have a tendency to roll as is the nature of the fabric. A little gentle pulling will allow you to change this and the stainless steel/silk will help hold the shape you create.
