Vivace sweeps full across the back, airy and feminine, bright and refreshing - like the notes that make your hips sway. Go ahead and twirl, too, as the natural scallops created by the cables bring spirit to this delicate shawl.

Finished Measurements:
30” in / 76 cm depth from back of neck

Suggested Yarn:
900 yd / 825 m Sport Weight CYC #2
Sample shown in: 6 balls Elsebeth Lavold Hempathy (153 yds / 140 m per 1.75 oz / 50 g ball; 34% hemp, 41% cotton, 25% modal) in #043 Claret

Needles:
Size 7 US (4.5 mm) needles
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct finished gauge.

Notions:
6 Stitch markers (optional), (2) cable needles, tapestry needle

Finished (blocked) Gauge:
16 sts and 28 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Vivace Stitch, Rows 21 to 42
Please note that while gauge is not critical to the finished piece, it does affect the amount of yarn used and the size of the finished shawl. Adjust this in your planning.

This semi-circular shaped shawl is worked from the neck down, with a section of set-up rows before the shawl body.
The stitch pattern is both written and charted for your preference.
With the charts, RS rows are worked from right to left, while WS rows are worked from left to right.
