A crescent-shaped shawl with beautiful diamond patterns, knit with cables. The border on the edge is knit in garter stitch. A large piece, the shawl drapes beautifully. Knit in Woolfolk Får, it will wrap your shoulders like a dream.

Worsted weight yarn
Approximately 680 yards, 625 m
5 skeins of Woolfolk Får (100% Merino; 142 yards / 130 m, 50 g)

Note: If you’re concerned about running out of yarn, leave out some of the garter stitch rows at the border.

A US 7 (4.50 mm) 42”/100 cm (or longer) circular needle for the shawl body
A US 8 (5.00 mm) circular needle or double pointed needle for the I-Cord bind-off
or needle to obtain gauge

16 stitches & 28 rows = 4” / 10 cm in garter stitch with US 7 (4.50 mm) needle (after blocking)
1 boxed pattern repeat = 2.5” / 6.5 cm wide, 1.5” / 4 cm high with US 7 (4.50 mm) needle (after blocking)
