The Sleeves are worked with shoulder extensions that will increase the depth of the armhole. The sides of each extension are sewn to the Back and Fronts to form the shoulders.

Back and Fronts of Cardi are shaped by working decreases.

The Sleeve Cap (the upper portion of the Sleeve) is designed with a different measurement and is shaped differently than the Front and Back armholes. This slight difference allows the cap to fit smoothly into the armhole when pieces are sewed together.
