While creating a trilogy of patterns to raise money for Ukraine in February of 2022, I discovered Vyshyvanka embroidery. A Ukranian tradition of embroidering shirts and other clothing articles, the motifs are amazing. I have decided to make a few more pieces using these motifs. I have adapted a star motif to form a heart.
My Vyshyvanka Cowl is available in my Ravelry shop as a companion to this hat! Similar, but not the same.

I am not and do not claim to be an expert on Vyshyvanka, I just think the motifs are beautiful and have created my own interpretation of the designs and adapted them for knitting.

Three sizes are included. Small, Medium, Large. Medium Size shown in photos.
Charts are slightly different by size.
Always choose size to knit based on desired circumference.
The bottom border in the hat above has been slightly modified to give more “flow”.
