This shawlette is ideal for flaunting that beautiful variegated yarn in your stash! It can be worn draped around your shoulders or around your neck like a scarf. It is knit using DK weight yarn on a large needle so it works up quickly! The use of several techniques including picking up stitches, elongated stitches, short rows, and some simple lace, makes this a fun and interesting project that you will love!

The upper body of the shawl is knit from side to side with increasing rows. Stitches are then picked up along the bottom and the remainder of the shawl is worked top down. Short rows are worked to add volume to the lower body. The shawl is finished off with a decorative border.

The skills required for this project are picking up stitches, elongated stitches and short rows. References for all techniques are provided the reference section.
