The pattern uses both knitting and crochet. The hat has a ribbed bottom edge and the remainder is crocheted. It is rated as “easy” but familiarity with crochet techniques is helpful.

This pattern is one of five in the Pandemic Panache series that were designed and developed over the last two to three years of the Covid pandemic.

Each of the patterns reflects a “mood” during various phases of the pandemic as it called for total lockdown, easing of restrictions and limitations, while being mindful of exposure and the potential impact on my immune compromised body. This creative effort was undertaken as a project to keep busy but also to produce products for donating to charity organizations.
