From Knitting Lingerie Style:

I’ve taken the detailing of the waspie and applied it to my Waist-Cincher Top, adding a bodice and sleeves to a slimming midriff section.  Ladder stitching keeps the eye moving up and down the waist and is repeated in the sleeves, while the deep surplice bodice adds more figure flattery.

After reading some comments here that the top doesn’t fit well on anyone over a B cup, I went back and carefully read the bust dart instructions and came up with this:
If you do wear a larger cup size than a small B, do not make the darts fake by working as written but work a yo only after each bust dart marker (instead of yo, ssk ) in order to create another 2 1/2” worth of bust shaping right where it’s needed.

Also, before beginning the bodice, measure from your shoulder , over the breast to just under your bust where your bra band sits. The front bodice of this top should be as long as this measurement before binding off.----Joan M-M
