Backpacks are perfect for workweek commuting, weekend travel, or school packing, you name it!. I love mini backpacks! So I designed cute t-shirt yarn backpack which is the perfect addition to my outfit to add some fun. And I’m sharing free crochet pattern so you can make your own in just a couple of hours!

The backpack is so easy to make, it consists of just a big crochet oval that’s folded in half, add crochet sides + straps and handle, that’s it! Because I used t-shirt yarn (read bulky) and crochet hook 10mm it works up very fast. I added zipper sewn by hand. The measurements of my backpack are: 10”W x 10”H x 2”D. But it can be made bigger by adding more rows in oval.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
T-shirt yarn (6 super bulky weight, super chunky yarn) -165 yards (150 m). I used t-shirt yarn from my shop KNITZNPURLZ in light grey color;

Crochet hook – 10mm, N15;

Stitch markers – 4;

Zipper – 17-18”

Sewing needle;

Sewing thread similar to yarn in color.
