Top down semi circular shawl. It begins casting on only 4 stitches and combines garter stitch, stripes and simple lace. Choose 3 colors of yarn and enjoy this easy and fun knitting pattern!

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
94½ inches (240 cm) from side to side and 20 inches (51cm) from top to bottom at deepest point (after blocking).

MATERIALS
Lace, light fingering or fingering weight yarn
Approx. 380 yards (347 m) in color A (gray), 380 yards (347 m) in color B (brownish-purple) and 350 yards (320 m) in color C (magenta).
Sample was made with Rialto Lace by Debbie Bliss (100% Wool - Merino)

NEEDLES
US 5 (3.75 mm): 32’ (81cm) circular
Adjust needle size as necessary to achieve specific gauge.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, blocking pins or wires.

GAUGE
20 st and 32 rows to 4” (10cm) in stockinette st on US 5 - 3.75 mm needles after blocking.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
This shawl is worked from the center top down. Stitches are increased at each side on every row to give it its characteristic crescent shape with curled ends.
