From Compassionate Knitting:

"These warm cozy socks are for keeping toes toasty or for literally feeling the earth while walking on the ground.  A basic sock pattern is offered here with a "knot of eternity motif" worked in a contrasting color.  This interlacing knot design appears in spiritual traditions throughout the world, and is most often associated with Buddhist and Celtic symbolism.  We offer two versions here - one in Celtic blue and slate gray, and the other in a rich burgundy and gold inspired by Buddhist monk’s robes.  These socks make great gifts for keeping the feet warm during hours of sitting practice and actual walking meditation, or as a whimsical addition to your favorite clogs or walking shoes."

The suggested colorways in the book are Pema’s Purple (MC) and Tansy (CC) for the monk’s robe colorway, and Slate Blue (MC) with Natural (CC) for the Celtic colorway.

The pattern specifies 2 or 3 skeins of the main color (depending on size made) and one skein or 100 yards of the coordinating color.
