UPDATE: #BEKINDTOELEPHANTS Trump rolled back an Obama legislation making it illegal for Americans to bring elephant trophies into the US. Elephants are one of the most intelligent species and they are endangered. They grieve, they bury their dead, and they protect their families.

Ellen DeGeneres has started a campaign to fight this. And I want to donate, also. 100% of all purchases of this pattern will also go to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

A big Happy Birthday to Blacker Yarns on their 10th year running!

I’ve loved working with this UK yarn producer and was thrilled to try out their birthday blend - Cornish Tin. The colors are outstanding and they’ve included fiber from 10 small producers - including Alpaca, Mohair and Merino.

It was the perfect opportunity to finally design an EleCowl. I LOVE elephants and so the seed has been in my mind since I learned how to do colorwork.

I hope you enjoy knitting this cowl as much as I did!
