REQUIREMENTS
Yarn: Two skeins (or three for a larger shawl) of fingering weight yarn 400m/100g. This pattern can be made smaller or larger though yarn requirements will differ accordingly.
Size: As written 67” (172cm) wide, 24” (60cm) deep before blocking and 87.5” (222cm) wide, 31” (79cm) deep after. Measurements taken using Coastal Colours BFL/Donegal fingering weight 400m/100g. Pink shawl and grey shawl are worked in Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light. Note that measurements will differ depending on yarn, tension, blocking etc and these are given as a guide only.
Circular Needles: 3.75mm (US5), 4mm (US6) and 4.5mm (US7) or 5mm (US8) about 1m in length or needles to create a pleasing fabric – your fabric should not be too dense and should have good drape.
You will also need: stitch markers, needle, blocking pins and mats.
Gauge: The gauge achieved was 23 sts to 4” before blocking and 17 sts to 4” after blocking. Measurement taken over stocking stitch using 3.75mm (US 5) needles. A looser gauge will result in additional yardage requirements.

You will find it useful to print your pattern on a colour printer, however, coloured pencils could be used to highlight aspects of the pattern.

The pattern is both fully written and charted.
