This warm pocket shawl pattern is designed using two very unusual cable stitches: both of which come to us from Japan.

The shawl is made using worsted weight yarn, and hence is very warm. The patch pockets insure that your shawl stays on your shoulders.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of cable knitting).

Both stitches are charted and written out line by line.

This pattern was expertly test knitted by Gay Fehr, who can be contacted at grf1056@gmail.com.

The yarn used in the sample is Shepherd Worsted by Lorna’s Laces, in colorway Mirth.
