This pattern is for one of my most ornately cabled warm pocket shawls. One cable comes to us from the Shetland Islands and the other is a product of Japan. The shawl incorporates the two very complex cables to form a single pocket shawl. The pockets insure that the shawl will stay comfortably on your shoulders. If you love knitting cables, you’ll enjoy this shawl made using worsted weight yarn, guaranteeing that you’ll be warm on a cool spring evening.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of cable knitting).

The border stitch and the cable focal stitch are both charted and written out line by line. There is a diagram contained within the pattern to assist you with pocket placement, and there are also instructions for an optional crocheted border.

The sample was expertly pattern tested by Cathy B, who can be contacted at: hooksandstitcks@gmail.com. The yarn used in the sample is Shepherd Worsted by Lorna’s Laces, in colorway, Flord.

The pattern is for sale right here on Ravelry and in my Etsy shop in the Warm Pocket Shawl Section (https://www.etsy.com/shop/WearableArtEmporium?section_id=...)
