Each element of this shawl there for a reason. I put hearts in it for a breast cancer fighter’s amazing heart and for family, friends, doctors and nurses that are helping them through this battle. The stripes are to take away the pain, fear and sickness and to bring in health, happiness, and a cure. The ribbon is to remind everyone one that the battle will never truly be over until this disease is preventable.
