My son is in a warrior phase right now and requested me to make him a chest armor. When I explained to him that it is a little difficult to make a metal armor, he settled for a wooly one. Thus was born The Warrior Sweater. My son loves this as the dense textured body acts as a chest armor. The elbow patches add interest to the plain, stockinette sleeves (elbow armor?).

The sweater is worked in round, from the top down with raglan shaping. After working the body and sleeves till armhole, sleeve stitches are kept on a holder and body is worked till hem. Sleeves are knit in round with textured stitches on the elbow.

The sweater is intended to be worn with 2-3” of positive ease.

He is not holding a sword in the photos, it is a bubble wand.
