This refined tam is both cozy and stylish. A bright orange color warms up the winter months. Worked in a supersoft cashmere blend and featuring tiny twisted cables, this hat is as fun to knit as it is to wear.

FINISHED SIZE
Circumference: About 14” (35.5 cm), relaxed.
Length: About 9” (23 cm).
Brim will stretch to about 20” (51 cm) circumference.

Fingering weight (#1 Super Fine).
Shown here: Tanis Fiber Arts Purple Label (70% merino, 20% cashmere, 10% nylon; 400 yd 366 m/115 g): orange blossom, 1 skein.

NEEDLES
Brim: Size U.S. 11/2 (2.5 mm): double- pointed (dpn).
Body: Size U.S. 3 (3.25 mm) 16” (40 cm) circular (cir) and set of dpn.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

NOTIONS
Marker (m); cable needle (cn); tapestry needle.

GAUGE
41 sts and 56 rnds = 4” in twisted rib, relaxed with smaller needle.
33 sts and 44 rnds = 4” (10 cm) in Body chart with larger needle.
