This used only 50g of a Wollmeise 150g hank of 100% merino superwash (about 200 yards). Any fingering should work, and needle size can be changed to achieve tension. The colour of the yarn, Wasabi, is so apt, that I kept it for the name of the bat. I kept an element of stocking stitch at the base of the hat to show off the lovely semi solid nature of the dye.
