Hang this decoy wasp nest to deter wasps from building nests nearby. Since wasps are territorial, they’ll find someplace else to nest and you’ll be left with a deck, garage, or patio that’s free of wasp nests! It’s a quick, easy knit with seamless construction.

We had wasps constantly trying to nest in our deck umbrella until I hung one nearby. The wasps have been gone ever since. It’s washable and much more durable than the flimsy nylon ones available from garden supply stores, so knit your own!

Materials needed:
50 yd super chunky yarn, although gauge is not critical and nest can easily be knit in thinner yarn.
3 oz fiberfill (stuffing)
US 10.5 circular needles, 12” or 16”
US 10.5 dpns
stitch marker
yarn needle
