This amazing silk, mohair, and lamb’s wool sweater is designed with impressionist warmth in the style of Monet’s water lilies paintings in Giverny, France. It is knit with a very organic look, in one piece. The sweater has a square neckline and ¾ length, kimono style sleeves. I created this pattern for my daughter to keep her happy on chilly spring mornings.

The sweater is super silky soft and stretchy, and will fit a toddler from about age 2 – 4 years.

You will need to know how to cast on stitches, knit stitches, purl stitches, knit two stitches together, cast off stitches, pick up and knit stitches, darn in ends of the finished work, and embroider a knit piece – skill level intermediate.

A sweater, for an average skilled knitter, should take approximately 25 hours to complete.

The model was knit in Noro Silk Garden, Color 8, and Bergere de France Sport, in color Azalee 20760, and is worn by my twin daughter, Angélique, seen in the photos at age 2 years and 9 months.

Items knit from this pattern are for personal use only. The pattern may not be reproduced without permission.
