I am sharing a fun, easy and quick little crochet pattern perfect for the Summer staple seen everywhere – sunglasses! And what better than a sweet slice of Watermelon?! Watch the seeds

MATERIALS:

  • Small Amount of Worsted/Aran Weight Cotton Yarn – I used Lily Sugar n Cream in White, Red, Black and Dark Pine Green colorways
  • H8/5mm Crochet Hook
  • #18 Tapestry Needle
  • Opt. Jewelry Pliers which make it much easier to weave in your ends

MATERIAL NOTES:
Yarn Alternatives: Bernat Handicrafter, WeCrochet Dishie

Jewelry pliers are an excellent tool to use to help weave in ends, as cotton yarn can be quite tough on the fingers when weaving in with just fingers and a tapestry needle.

TIME SPENT:
Just a little over 30 minutes

MEASUREMENTS:
3 3/8″ Wide (after folding) by 7 1/8″ Tall (8.6 cm Wide (after folding) by 18.1 cm Tall) – will fit a standard pair of sunglasses

GAUGE:
16 HDC by 10 Rows = 4” (16 HTR by 10 Rows = 10.2 cm)

ABBREVIATIONS:

  • HDC – Half Double Crochet (HTR - Half Treble Crochet)
  • DC – Double Crochet (TR - Treble Crochet)
  • SC – Single Crochet (DC - Double Crochet)
  • Bobble explained
