For “Cable-Lovers” everywhere, this is the fingerless mitt pattern for you. There are two distinct cables in the mitt. The center cable is quite striking and is bordered by a second lesser known cable stitch..The underside cable is the same as one of the forearm cable, making this one of the easier of my mitt patterns, although it is still not a beginner pattern, by any means. But if you are a lover of cable knitting, these mitts will be fun for you to both make and wear and will allow you to text, type and knit in style and warmth.

These mitts are knit using two circular needles, and all the stitches are both charted and written out line by line, using a tightly plied heavy fingering weight or lighter sport weight yarn, also tightly plied.

Skill Level: Intermediate

The pattern is both charted and written out line by line.

The sample was expertly tested by Anjali Datta, who can be reached at: adatta@utexas.edu
