Wavedrop Hat is worked in the round with a ribbed drop stitch pattern that gives a wavy effect. The stitch pattern works well to show off self striping sock yarn.

You will need to know how to work in the round, k2tog and p2tog decreases, yrn increase (this is a yo type increase worked between two purl stitches).

Measurements
To fit Child (Teen, Adult medium, Adult large) 45-49cm (50-54cm, 55-59cm, 60-64cm) 18-19” (20-21”, 22-23”, 24-25”)

Finished unstretched measurements 37.5cm (42.5cm, 47cm, 52cm) 15” (17”, 18.75”, 20.75”) circumference, 23cm (24.5cm, 26.5cm, 28.5cm) 9” (9.5”, 10.25”, 11”) tall (including brim turn up).

Note – the stitch pattern stretches a lot when worn and should also stretch around a 40cm (16”) circular needle for all sizes.

The hat pictured is worked in Sirdar Heart and Sole wool rich 4 ply sock yarn.

40cm 16” 3.25 mm circular needle.
40cm 16” 2.75 mm circular needle.
Set of 4, 3.25mm DPNs.
Marker.

Gauge
34sts 37rnds =10cm (4”) in pattern worked in the round on 3.25mm needles.
