Wavelet is inspired by the peaks and valleys you see on the surface of the water resulting in ripples. These small series of waves occur from a slight breeze or by an object dropping into the water. Wavelet is knitted in the round, beginning with a brim and framed with a Latvian Braid for a unique touch. The main section of the hat is worked using the mosaic colorwork technique. This simple technique means the knitter only needs to use one color every two rounds. The hat is not difficult to create but does appear wonderfully intricate.
