Worked in garter stitch on the bias, starting in one corner and ending in the corner diagonally opposite, this two colour blanket can be worked in any gauge - giving the texture that is right for you.
Using a UK double-knitting yarn gives a beautifully squooshy blanket, and as there is no cast-on edge, and no cast-off edge, the blanket is stretchy in each direction.
A combination of slipped edge stitches and decreases/increases produces a very handsome edge, emphasised by a colour change every two rows.
Instructions are for a square blanket, or a rectangular one.
A 72 cm by 72 cm blanket took 400 g of Jarol Heritage, using 4.5 mm needles.
