This was my first “real” pattern and initially appeared on my blog back in pre-Ravelry days. There may be a PDF version floating around somewhere, but in the meantime, please bear with the tiny charts (you can enlarge by clicking on the images) that might possibly be in the wrong order. The written instructions tell you which lace motif to work when and how many times, so hopefully not tooooo confusing…

Wavewalker got its name from my many walks on the beach during my stint working in North Myrtle Beach, SC. The lace motifs are inspired by the patterns the waves drew in the sand at low-tide. The original scarf used up about 1-1/2 skeins of Sunseeker and ended up REALLY long (i.e. too long for someone who claims to be 5’2” on a good day), so gauge isn’t crucial as long as you keep in mind that the picot bind-off consumes way more yarn than you think it will.

Apologies for any major blunders (I have worked this scarf a second time, at least, and been able to recreate it without much wailing and gnashing of teeth, so I don’t think there are that many?). First pattern kinks. Hope you enjoy!
