This cowl pattern is designed for fingering weight yarn and comes in two lengths. You can also easily adjust the pattern sizing for shorter or longer (or wider) lengths as desired. You can simply add or subtract multiples of 12 stitches to make it longer or shorter. As written, this pattern uses roughly 40 or 80 grams of fingering weight yarn.

Gauge:
Blocked: 26 stitches and 27 rows per 4 inches knit in pattern in the round

Finished dimensions (Blocked):
Small: Roughly 9.5 inches high and 26 inches around.
Large: Roughly 9.5 inches high and 52 inches around.

Materials:
Yarn: 50 (small) or 100 (large) grams of fingering weight yarn

The pattern is both fully written out and charted.

It is suitable for adventurous beginners and experts alike. It uses centered double decreases, knitting through the back loop, and knitting in the round.

Several of my testers made this cowl in DK yarn with very pleasant results :) It can be easily adjusted to other weights of yarn even though the pattern is written for fingering weight yarn.
