Wavy scarf with lacy garter stitch zig-zag edgings.

The scarf in the photographs was knitted using 1 x 100gm skein Rowan fine art, Shade 305 (blue/navy/teal mix), approximate yarn length: 400m (437 yds). Similar soft yarn of your choice could be used for this scarf, but more yarn may be needed. The size will vary according to thickness of yarn used.

The scarf measures approximately 20cm/8” across widest part. It is approximately 142cm/56” long (not pressed or blocked). If you require a longer scarf, please bear in mind that you will then need more yarn.

The scarf was knitted in one piece using size 4mm (8) knitting needles. The cast-on and cast-off ends vary slightly in shape so, if you want matching ends, the scarf could be knitted in 2 pieces and grafted together in the centre.

The wrong side differs to the right side, but is also an attractive pattern so that it does not matter which side is showing when the scarf is being worn.

The pattern consists of 2 PDFs: 1 portrait-shaped with typed knitting instructions, etc and 1 landscape-shaped with a graph chart showing the pattern in stitch symbols.
