A beautiful and simple top down slip stitch patterned sock, named after a quote from Spike from Buffy The Vampire Slayer:

Buffy: I don’t want to be the One.
Spike: I don’t want to be this good-looking and athletic. We all have crosses to bear.

These socks were designed for self-striping or variegated yarn. The pattern breaks up the colors of a variegated beautifully.

Yardage Requirements:
Main Color: 350-400 depending on foot size

This pattern was designed for Dancing Dog Dyeworks using the Twist Sock Sock Base, (100%), in the “Ay Chihuahua Stripe” Color Way.

A little about Dancing Dog Dyeworks:

Michelle is a very dear friend of mine who has an amazing yarn dying business. She loves color, especially bright ones; her yarn reflects that love of color. Dancing Dog Dyeworks is a family operation, including the fur-kids of the family. Noodle, and Michelle’s other fur-kids often keep watch over the dye process.
