THIS PATTERN IN NO LONGER AVAILABLE FROM SHIBUI KNITS

This is a short cardigan designed for small children to keep the sun and chill off their shoulders without making them too hot!
The body is knit in one piece, and is quite quick to work up, and made with a washable sock yarn this is an easy care (and must-have) addition to a little one’s wardrobe.

ETA: There seems to be some confusion about the measurements written in the text being different than those show on the diagram…. They are all correct, but are confusing, so I just want to clear things up here :)

The body should be knit to 1 (1.5, 1.5”) before arm divide, then another 2.5 (3.5, 4”) before neck shaping, then another 2 (2, 2”). Total Body will be 5.5 (7, 7.5”) and the armhole will be 4.5 (5.5, 6”).

I also want to add the note that the armhole will look too big for the sleeve, but once the body and sleeve pieces are blocked to measurements it will fit perfectly.

Hope this helps with any questions.
