This tutorial is basically an extension of a Barb’s Patterns tutorial found here: http://barbspatterns.blogspot.ca/2009/03/notions-bowl.html I give full credit (and a link) to Barb for the main part of the pattern. My tutorial adds a cute scalloped border that lies flush against the outside of the of the bowl.

You can basically use any yarn and hook that you wish, although it’s smart to choose a hook that’s slightly smaller than the one recommended on the yarn’s label. You want a nice tight stitch.
