Weenie Dog Applique
This little puppy is so cute! A fun little appliqué that can be made using your leftovers!
Yarn, Hook, Gauge, etc.
Use the yarn of your choice. The yarn-hook combination used will determine the finished size of your
puppy appliqué. You can use different types of yarn to complete this project, as long as the yarn
thickness is similar – for example, I used worsted weight acrylic yarn for the head and body of the dog,
but I used worsted weight cotton yarn to complete the dog’s sweater.
You need small amounts – only a few yards each – of up to five colors.
Color A is for the body and head
Color B is for the sweater
Color C is for the details on the sweater
Color D for the ears
Color E for the eyes and nose
Gauge is not important for this project. I used worsted weight yarns and a G hook to create the puppy
pictured, but you can experiment with different hooks and yarns to create all kinds of cute puppies!
