I have always been inspired by nature, rock gardens, the concept of Zen, and more recently: knitting socks.
This pattern is inspired by the Zen sand garden located at Tofukuji Temple in Japan. The exquisitely simple, yet infinitely complicated lines in the sand are visually stunning, and make my mind…..Well Zen!

I hope you are as inspired as I am to do some zen sock knitting and zen sock wearing.

This pattern is written for a pair of matching toe-up sock, or mirrored socks.

This pattern was featured in the Yarn Vs Zombies World Traveller Yarn Club 2013.
