Cardigan is worked in 3 pieces: Body and 2 sleeves. Lower portion of Body is worked in garter st, then stitches for upper portion of body are picked up along one long edge of lower portion. The body is divided at underarms, then back and fronts are worked separately. The collar is worked directly onto the cardigan.

A circular needle (36”) is used to accommodate the large number of sts working back and forth in rows as if using straight needles.
