The Westhampton Shawl is worked from the bottom up - using lace edging, then short rows stockinette, finishing with a simple eyelet edging and bind-off. Any lace weight or light fingering weight yarn will work. Also could use sock weight yarn. The silk is particularly stunning for the drape and sheen.

Note: The stitch count on the lace pattern will fluctuate from row to row, but is easy to follow will create a beautiful edging.
