I am surrounded by young adults and teenagers, and besides not really understand what is going through their minds most of the time and watching them eat ungodly amounts of food and change clothes like it’s a quick change show. I’ve had it explained that beanie’s are a must have wardrobe accessory, and with that the importance of how a beanie should lay and the amount of slouchyness, not a word but it is now. Who knew? When I was growing up a beanie, or cap was worn during the cold months of the year, or when your head was cold. But now they are worn all year long, so I created this pattern for young adults and teenagers in my life.
So the “What All the Kids Are Wearing Slouchy Beanie” was born as I created this beanie I started knitting it, then I ripped it out because I didn’t like the way it looked. Then I crocheted a beanie still not what I wanted. So then I went back to knitting it and finally found what I wanted. And the teenage boy in my house gave me a thumbs up. So the beanie was born, and when it was finished my son put it and hasn’t taken it off since. So I think it’s a winner.
This knits up fast and is such a great and fun knit you just can’t pass on this cool and wonderful pattern. And with the two colors you can really play with them to make the beanie match the person you are making it for or the outfit you want to match it with.
Enjoy, hugs all around. From my home to yours. –Losa
