This pattern takes the Wheat Stitch and modifies it for a warm winter hat. And we are talking warm!

The pattern can be modified in multiples of 6 stitches. It is written for adults and kids, but if you make the cast-on 36 for child, and 30 for toddler and baby, the directions are still the same. Bonus!

If you find you are knitting too tight, you can bump your needles up to 15, but I find that when I am doing the pattern I tend to do it loose.

If you use two different colors (which I highly suggest), you should have enough yardage left at the end of your hat to invert your colors and make another hat.

Enjoy! We had a lot of fun making this stitch and pattern for our family.
