The Woodland Buffalo was an icon of the prairie just over a century ago. It seems inconceivable that thousands of these animals roamed freely, adapting to the harsh climate of the yet unpopulated Canadian West.

Today, buffalo are scarce and people are many.

This double-knit sock honours days long gone; when we put on a sweater and warm socks to get warm instead of turning up the heat; a time when buffalo roamed freely.

Pattern includes double-knitting instructions, charts and written directions.
