I live in a perfect environment for design inspiration for the perfect cowl, and for testing the results under a variety of weather conditions. In my personal quest for the perfect cowl, I have designed yet another that has now become my favorite go-to cowl for a number of reasons.

First of all, this one is long enough that I can wear it as a scarf when the weather is cold but not frigid. It is also long enough that when the weather does become frigid, I can wrap it more snugly around my neck for extra protection. But wait, that’s not all … when the weather may be described as “bitterly cold”, my cowl is long enough I can wrap it one more time and boy howdy, does my neck stay warm.

Recently when our wind chill factor was -20 (that’s negative 20, please note) I wrapped this one three times and it was so compact I was able to add my Nor’easter Infinity Cowl on top, which created a cloud of protection and warmth around my face and cheekbones.

Another feature of this cowl is that it is knit in two color blocks (like the Nor’easter), so depending on the color of my outfit at the time I can either make the brown more prominent, or the blue.
